Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for specifying, designing, coding, debugging software solutions to meet the company business objectives. This is also a People Leader role. The Technical Lead must be able to work within established development standards and methods utilizing appropriate programming languages, tools and systems. This role requires the ability to develops large and/or complex solutions that require analysis and research, works on multiple projects as a project leader or as a technical subject matter expert on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. This individual maybe required to work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and technology strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. The Technical Manager is involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget and makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. The Technical Lead is also responsible for providing technical guidance and management assistance to the product managers by coaching and mentoring other team members and enforcing coding\\product development best practices required\\agreed to within Compliance Systems. This role is intended to be the \"hub\" of technical knowledge within the team and is responsible for collaborating and communicating with other Technical Leads. This individual will supervise other team members and provide direction to ongoing development work in collaboration with other Technical Leads to ensure dependencies are identified. The individual in this role will ensure members of the product team (product specialist, IVL, BA\\QC) are educated and understand impact of technical changes applied\\added to product components.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand the programming languages, software development frameworks and IDE's and demonstrate proficiency in their proper and effective use to create and support high quality industry leading software within Compliance Systems' development environment and product architecture.
• Demonstrate ability to design, develop and support object-oriented software features, desktop applications, and web-based applications and full installation package including technical documentation and associated unit tests.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and review functional specifications that include a feature or complete application and set of user interface interactions or workflows.
• Demonstrate ability to proactively define and deliver the set of tasks and associated milestones for an assigned project and manage the planning, risk identification and mitigation, proactive reporting and updates.
• Demonstrate ability to profile the performance of a feature or algorithm and make necessary improvements including updates to unit tests.
• Demonstrate ability to understand a business problem and conduct research to find an optimum and affordable solution, design and implement the solution or algorithm and accompanying unit tests.
• Demonstrate ability to develop software applications that are scalable and designed to be deployed as a web based multi-tenant or single-tenant software service or desktop application.
• Demonstrate understanding and show proficiency in measuring product performance, operational metrics and formulating improvements (document them in the requirements repository) and communicating findings in a concise manner.
• Understand the correct use of Relational Databases, API's, SDK's, Source Code and Version Control and Software Deployment Methods.
• Demonstrate proficiency in interfacing and use of these systems.
