Meet the Team

Join our Intersight development team as part of Cisco's Data Center Compute portfolio.

Cisco Intersight is a cloud-based system management platform for Cisco UCS and other products, enabling IT organizations to analyze, simplify, and automate their environments. It leverages analytics and machine learning to provide actionable intelligence for IT operations. You will be involved in extending and maintaining core backend services that power the Intersight platform, creating the infrastructure upon which product teams build.

Your colleagues will include dedicated Go/Java server-side developers and cloud/web technology architects. We are a close-knit team with decades of experience in infrastructure products, known within the company for delivering quality products on time.

Your Impact

You will participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, from requirements analysis to architecture & design, coding, testing, and support. Opportunities to conduct research on new technologies and mentor junior developers are also available.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience
• 5+ years programming experience in Go, Java, or C/C++
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, event-driven architectures and data pipelines using Kafka, with exposure to SaaS enterprise software or cloud infrastructure, and familiarity with service-oriented architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience
• Experience designing systems emphasizing scalability and availability
• Strong debugging skills and knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Experience working in distributed teams across multiple time zones and familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
