Job summary

Savion, LLC, a Shell Group portfolio company, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Information Technology department in hybrid Kansas City, MO. You will own internal applications, drive modernization, and collaborate across IT, security, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes strong programming skills, RESTful APIs, AWS deployment, secure coding, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, .NET).
• Ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Working knowledge of cloud concepts and deploying applications in AWS or a similar environment.
• Ability to apply secure coding practices and understanding of core application security principles.
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance our internal custom applications.
• Implement new features and optimize existing functionality to meet evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure application security, performance, and reliability through best practices and proactive monitoring.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and deployment guides.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance to uphold high engineering standards.
• Support deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable releases.
• Mentor team members and contribute to establishing engineering best practices.
