CACI International Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Austin, TX. The role is part-time with a hybrid in-person expectation, starting in May for 10–12 weeks. You will build small features, fix bugs, and update internal tools under mentor guidance.

You'll participate in testing, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies, collaborating with product managers and engineers while exploring new technologies and cloud services to support real-world applications.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Familiarity with hardware or software tools appropriate for academic level.
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

  • Coding and Development: Build small features, fix bugs, update internal tools under mentor guidance.
  • Testing and Debugging: Run tests, review logs, identify root causes for reliability.
  • Code Maintenance: Document features, write clean code, participate in peer reviews.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend Agile ceremonies and work with product managers or engineers.
  • Research and Learning: Explore new technologies, APIs, or cloud services required for team projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience working in a teamwork environment and have not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. The single most important attribute is an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to compliment your academic experience.
