CACI International Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in High Point, NC. This part-time, in-office role offers a 32-hour workweek for a minimum of 10 weeks. You will support network modernization efforts for the Department of War enterprise network, under supervision.

Ideal candidates are current undergraduates or graduates with coursework in data network communications, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team. Security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering team with network modernization design and support across the project life cycle.
  • Complete a group project simulating customer network environments.
  • Under supervision, oversee tasks and contribute to data gathering and analysis.
  • Present final project summary to the division or leaders at HQ as applicable.

You will have the opportunity to learn about and support a CACI program with the Department of War enterprise network modernization.This position will require you to work 100% in office at our High Point, NC location during the entirety of the internship.Responsibilities:Your key responsibilities will include:Assisting an engineering team with designing and supporting networkmodernization solutions across the project life cycle.Completing a network engineering intern group project simulatingcustomer network environmentsOverseeing the completion of tasks under the direction of a senior Engineer.Conducting research and gathering data to support project decision-making.Identifying risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for process improvements.Providing general support to engineering team as required. All interns will beexpected to conduct a final summary presentation on your projects and experience to the Division.Select interns may be chosen to present to leaders in our headquarters office as well.Qualifications:Required:You must minimally be a graduating High School Senior with demonstrated academic achievement and technical aptitude.Must currently be enrolled in full-time Undergraduate or Graduate student in a relevant field of studyMust be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable to position)Good interpersonal and presentation skillsGood oral and written communications skillsTechnical experience or knowledge of basic data network communications and computer operations.Coursework providing background in data network communicationsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software applicationsAbility to collaborate with projectmanagers, engineers, and technicians.Ability to work in a team environment.Must be able to travel to other CACILocations or Customer Sites as necessaryWork may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials,boxes, or equipment.Technical experience or knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Aruba is preferred.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.CompTIA Security+ certification required.
