Job summary
Datadog is seeking Software Engineering Interns to help build and scale systems powering our observability and security platform. You’ll work across backend, frontend, infrastructure, data engineering, and developer tooling, contributing to real‑world challenges with mentors.
Hybrid workplace, full‑time start in 2027 with January 4 to April 23 internship dates, in New York or Boston. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud‑native infrastructure while
Qualifications
- Pursuing a CS/SE degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design.
- Comfortable coding in one or more languages; eager to use AI coding tools.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to production systems processing large-scale observability data in real time.
- Build and improve distributed backend/infrastructure components.
- Tackle performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in critical services.
- Own technical projects from design to deployment with mentorship.
- Gain expertise with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud-native infra.
- Collaborate with interns, mentors, and engineers to deliver impactful software.
