Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC invites students to join a 12-week internship program in the United States. You will work with the Tech Infra team to develop automation, optimize performance, and collaborate with software engineers to design and operate scalable systems.

Interns gain hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to grow professionally. On-site work, with social events, workshops, and career development activities in Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
• Proficient knowledge of high-level programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, Java, and Shell script).
• Experience in network architecture, database modeling, cloud systems and large-scale distributed systems.
• Effective team communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation procedures to maximize system efficiency and minimize human intervention.
• Work closely with software engineering teams to design, deploy and operate elements to ensure that systems are functionally robust.

Job description

The Tech infra team at TikTok USDS JV combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, and fault-tolerant systems. In our team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale, while using expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $45.

• Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
• Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
