Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture is seeking interns to build and operate big data computing frameworks and storage systems. You will design high-concurrency distributed systems to ensure stability during peak traffic and collaborate with diverse teams on large-scale engineering initiatives.

• Design and optimize high-concurrency distributed systems to ensure stability during peak global traffic.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to drive large-scale engineering initiatives.
• Drive technical innovation by integrating new ideas and emerging technologies into the core platform.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• - Currently pursuing an Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• - Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
• - Experience in programming, included but not limited to the following programming languages: C, C++, Java or Golang;
• - Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Currently pursuing an Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• - Experience in AI coding is a plus.
• - Strong learning ability, clear communication, and a strong sense of teamwork and responsibility.

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $45.

• Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more.
• Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
• Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
