Keysight Technologies invites an R&D Hardware Engineer Intern to join the Interferometer Electrical and Computer Engineering R&D group in Santa Clara, CA. You will help design and develop software and electronics interfacing lasers and optics, solving hardware problems and contributing to design, prototyping, testing and documentation.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, learning across hardware and software interfaces, and collaboration with engineers aiming to move products from design

As an R&D Hardware Engineer Intern in the Interferometer Electrical and Computer Engineering R&D group, you will be involved with the design and development of software and electronics interfacing lasers and optics.

You will solve a broad range of Hardware problems of varying scope and complexity while assisting engineers that are developing and releasing new products to production. This includes product design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuing BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or EECS
• Good understanding of hardware, including design and analysis.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Experience with high-performance RTL and associated verification and debug –
• Experience with PCB physical mixed-signal design tools and flows
• Mixed-signal (Analog and Digital) circuits analysis
• Embedded uProcessor knowledge
• Experience programming with one of more of the following: Linux, Windows, VxWorks
• Understanding of operating systems and software drivers

Additional Information

• Availability to work full-time, in person, for 6-9 months (minimum 3-month commitment, ideally 6 months, will consider up to 9 months)
• Enthusiasm for contributing to an innovative engineering environment

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

CA Pay Min $35.96 to Max $38.73
