Job summary

Branch International is seeking a software engineering intern to work with experienced engineers for 4-6 months. You will brainstorm, design, code, debug, and ship features serving millions of customers, gaining hands-on experience across branches of the product stack.

You will collaborate with a distributed team, contribute to backend systems, and build practical solutions that drive impact while learning core engineering practices in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend systems with real users or open source projects.
• Strong CS fundamentals, distributed systems, data storage.
• Comfort with Unix and CLI utilities.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Java, Kotlin, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Build out functionality for existing and new product lines and platforms such as Credit, Payments, KYC, Data Platforms, etc.
• Integrate with various third-party systems, including payment systems, identity providers, and messaging platforms.
