Job summary

Incident IQ is seeking a Software Engineer Intern in Alpharetta, GA. You will work on our cloud-based SaaS product, embedded in a feature team alongside several engineers, a designer, and a Product Owner. This role offers hands-on learning, real code contributions, and mentoring from senior engineers.

You’ll gain experience with our tech stack (C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Mongo, SQL) and participate in CI/CD with GitHub Actions while delivering value to millions of students and educators.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A foundational understanding of programming principles and a strong desire to learn.
• A passion for technology and building software.
• Familiarity with web development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver real value: contribute to user-facing features in our web applications shipped to production.
• Collaborate with design and backend teams to translate ideas into accessible UIs.
• Gain hands-on experience with our stack (C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Mongo, SQL).
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold code quality.
• Receive 1:1 mentoring with Tech Leads and Engineering Managers.
• Work with AI tooling and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions; learn observability basics.
