Cboe Global Markets is offering a Real-Time Software Engineer intern position, inviting students to work on the Exchange trading system. You will collaborate with the Real-Time Team to design, implement, and support low-latency components in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science or related field.
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with C++, or experience in another language with a strong desire to learn C++.
Experience with Linux or UNIX-like operating systems.
Self-directed, self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Working alongside our software development team to contribute to projects integral to our business.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced developers and fellow interns, providing hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex systems.
You will gain practical experience writing production-quality code as you work on a high-throughput, low-latency trading system in an Agile development environment.

Role Summary

The Real-Time team is hiring for Software Engineer intern. The Real-Time Intern will work closely with the Real-Time Team as we design, develop, and support the Exchange trading system. We care deeply about system reliability, testability, recoverability, fault tolerance, throughput, and latency. We measure times in nanoseconds. Our engineers have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering. We are looking for like minded individuals to join us.

Compensation

Our pay range for interns is determined by function and education level. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $22.00 - $42.00 per hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay target for new hires working in the position full time. Within the range, individual pay is determined by years of education completed. In addition to base pay, eligibility for our total rewards program may include benefits such as 401 (k) with a generous company match and paid sick time. Your recruiter will provide more details about the total compensation package during the hiring process.
