Cboe Global Markets is offering a Site Reliability Engineering internship to work across multiple teams, gaining hands-on experience with large-scale financial exchanges. The program emphasizes latency, availability, and automation, with a structured learning path in operations and infrastructure.

Qualifications

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is responsible for performance tuning and capacity planning for multiple high performance, ultralow latency financial exchanges. The SRE team also provides operational support for these exchanges to maintain system availability and optimal performance. The SRE team works closely with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Network Engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues, to coordinate and support platform configuration updates, and to leverage new cutting‑edge technologies. The SRE intern role is a great opportunity to learn about complex software systems and financial markets.

Ideal candidate has

• Currently pursuing in Bachelor’s degree or higher and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place.

• Advanced Linux command line knowledge
• High level of proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to read and evaluate C++ (or similarly complex OO languages)

Our pay range for interns is determined by function and education level. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $22.00 - $42.00 per hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay target for new hires working in the position full time. Within the range, individual pay is determined by years of education completed. In addition to base pay, eligibility for our total rewards program may include benefits such as 401 (k) with a generous company match and paid sick time.
