Cohere is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in a role that spans frontend, backend, full-stack and infrastructure work. This internship offers hands-on coding, data pipeline work, and opportunities to contribute to production systems across our API and platform.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a post-secondary program and available for a 3–6 month full-time term. We value autonomy, collaboration, and the drive to ship impactful features in a security-first AI environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program
• Available for a full-time 3-6 month internship, co-op, or research work term
• Willing to explore multiple teams: Frontend, Backend, Full-stack and Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Ship delightful experiences for user-facing products, including browser and server code
• Build features for the API platform that directly impact users
• Design and implement robust data pipelines (crawlers, storage, filters)
• Design and implement scalable services or infrastructure for ML development
• Build internal tooling to move faster (CI/CD, dev utilities)
• Contribute to technical documentation, both internal and external
• Stay updated with new tech to improve performance and reliability across Cohere
