Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM). This on-site internship in Huntsville, AL runs about 3 months in summer 2027; start/end dates are negotiable and housing must be arranged by the student.

You will develop features, debug code, and participate in end-to-end software lifecycle with mentors, gaining experience in Visual Studio, GitLab, Fortify, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least two years toward a software degree.
• Strong foundation in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with QT is a plus.
• Understanding of basic software design principles and memory management.
• Exposure to XML/JSON and modern development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop simple front-end or back-end features and debug issues.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle including testing and reviews.
• Collaborate in team meetings, planning, and code reviews with mentors.
• Learn and apply best practices in modular design, code reuse, and maintainability.
