Job summary

Nominal in New York is seeking a Summer 2027 software engineering intern with solid engineering fundamentals. You will work closely with world‑class engineers to solve high‑impact problems on complex hardware systems, including nuclear reactors, rockets, and supersonic aircraft.

You will own projects from start to finish with mentorship, help grow our platform, and gain hands‑on experience across data infrastructure and feature development in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• Solid engineering fundamentals
• On track to graduate Summer 2028 or sooner
• Hands-on experience through internships, projects, or coursework

Responsibilities

• Dive into high‑frequency, multi‑modal hardware data infrastructure
• Design and build features in collaboration with customers, often in the field
• Own projects from start to finish with mentorship from senior engineers
• Contribute to Nominal’s growth by onboarding customers and expanding product offerings
