Job summary

McKinsey & Company in the United States is seeking a student intern in software engineering to contribute to real client solutions from day one. You will work across the full stack with guidance from senior engineers and collaborate with designers, product managers, and experts to deliver practical software.

You will learn rapidly, apply feedback, and build a robust technical foundation while tackling high-impact challenges across industries.

Qualifications

Pursuing undergraduate or master's in CS or related field with a Dec 2027–Aug 2028 graduation window.
Foundational software development knowledge across full stack, including SQL and cloud platforms.
Basic RESTful API concepts and relational database fundamentals.
Intro exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD concepts.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and responsibility for AI outputs.
Security-minded and willing to learn testing frameworks (Jest/PyTest).
Experience in cross-functional teams and collaborating with developers.
Excellent time management and strong English communication.
