McKinsey & Company is offering a full-time summer internship for master's students in data science, CS, statistics, or math with graduation between December 2027 and August 2028. You will join a multidisciplinary data science team and work on real client solutions from day one, building and evaluating analytical and AI solutions under close guidance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field with graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts and statistical methods.
• Basic understanding of data quality assessment and exploratory data analysis.
• Familiarity with GenAI tooling and agentic AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Quality and risk mindset with awareness of modeling risks.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional time management.
• Strong communication skills in English and local office language(s).

Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate analytical and AI solutions with close guidance.
• Grow skills across machine learning, data analysis, and AI engineering with every engagement.
• Collaborate across QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey and QuantumBlack Labs teams to deliver capabilities.
• Help design and deliver production-ready AI and analytics solutions that create impact for clients.
