Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Caelon is seeking a part-time Full-stack Software Engineer Intern to join the founding team in Fairfax, VA. You will own tickets end-to-end, fix UI issues, and implement customer-requested changes across the stack, with direct access to the founders in a fast-moving environment.
Expect a one-week paid work trial, then a two-month contract. Hybrid work with in-person office presence at GMT Horizon Hall, Fairfax, VA aligns with live customer deadlines.
Our mission is to redefine how emerging technology is implemented within investment firms by combining practical application with meaningful innovation.
Caelon is trusted by investment firms that demand accurate, reliable data and technology that directly supports their daily workflows and business challenges. We are not building a generic, out-of-the-box platform. Our approach is centered on long-term partnerships, a deep understanding of our customers, and trust.
We are equally committed to the team we are building. Your growth, learning, and contributions will be central to the company’s success. If you want to work alongside an ambitious group of engineers and founders building the future of private-market investment technology, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a full-stack Software Engineer Intern to work directly with Caelon’s founding team on our active commercial real estate contracts. This is not a side project or a sandbox. You will be shipping to code that live customers depend on, starting in your first week.
Your day-to-day will center on the work that keeps our deployments healthy and our customers moving: responding to inbound tickets, fixing UI bugs, and implementing requested changes across the stack. You will see the full loop, from a customer raising an issue to your fix reaching production, and you will own that loop end to end.
You will work in a small, fast-moving environment with direct access to the founders. Priorities will shift, requirements will be ambiguous, and you will be trusted to make calls and defend them. We are open to new ideas, and we believe the only true failure is not trying or failing to learn from an experiment.
This role begins with a one-week paid work trial. During the trial you will work alongside the founding team on live tickets from our active contracts, so both sides get an honest read on fit before committing. Strong performance in the trial converts directly into the two-month contract described below.
