Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer for the Infrastructure Platform team. You will build tools to create and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate management of complex service-oriented apps, and contribute to framework development for platform stability and scalability.

Role requires experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform and a strong DevOps mindset. You will work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable customer-facing web

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of cloud and infrastructure experience.
  • Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and GoLang.
  • DevOps/SRE/ProdEng experience supporting customer-facing web services.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineers and teams.
  • Experience with containers, orchestration tools, and Kubernetes Helm charts.
  • Experience building highly-available public cloud infra with focus on stability, scalability and security.
  • Experience with configuration management and IaC tools including Terraform modules.
  • Experience supporting relational or NoSQL databases, message buses, caching services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and testing platforms for continuous deployments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, customer focus.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Terraform.

About the role

This role is on the Infrastructure Platform team, where we manage the user interaction with the Infrastructure system components such as Terraform, ArgoCD, AWS resources and internal tooling. The Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the platform, tools, and infrastructure supporting the company's customer-serving products. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be developing tools to create and maintain cloud infrastructure, automating management of complex service-oriented applications, and creating frameworks to ensure the stability and scalability of the company's platform.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Automate everything, including scaling, monitoring, and operations.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • More than 2 years of cloud and Infrastructure experience
  • Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go Lang.
  • Previous professional experience in a DevOps/SRE/ProdEng role supporting customer-facing web services.
  • Previous success in enabling effective partnerships and strong communication with other engineers and teams.
  • Experience creating and working with containers, as well as using container orchestration tools and managing Kubernetes Helm charts.
  • Experience building and managing highly-available public cloud infrastructure and services, with an emphasis on stability, scalability, and security.
  • Experience using configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools, including maintaining Terraform modules.
  • Experience supporting relational or no-SQL databases, message buses, caching services, and other common service components.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and testing platforms, with a focus on continuous deployments.
  • Familiarity with common monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
  • A positive attitude, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on the customer.
  • Experience with some of this tech - AWS services, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Terraform

Below is the base salary offered for this role and level of experience. Full-time employees may also be eligible for bonus(es), competitive equity, and benefits. For commissioned roles, the base salary listed in this job description does not include incentive/variable pay. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Wage Notice

$133,000—$184,000 USD
