• Reproduce, isolate, and document failures across hardware test runs.
• Set up and maintain hardware test harnesses and lab equipment.
• File bug reports and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Maintain test documentation and propose new validation approaches.

Must-Have Skills

• Swift and/or Python with solid OOP — design patterns and clean code required


• AI/LLM tools for active debugging — Claude for log analysis and failure diagnosis


• Hardware lab willingness — daily work with test racks, harnesses, and bench equipment


• Systematic troubleshooting across software and hardware interaction layers


• Command line proficiency — scripting, process inspection, toolchain execution

Preferred Skills

• Hardware/firmware testing experience — test harnesses, validation rigs, or embedded environments


• macOS familiarity — Xcode or Instruments a plus


• Computer architecture & power management fundamentals


• Test framework development experience


• Data analysis — pandas, matplotlib, or similar
