Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Type: Full time

Our client is looking for a Development Engineer in Test (Mobile | Appium + Java) role which focuses on building and maintaining automated test solutions for mobile applications. You’ll work closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to enhance automation coverage and ensure smooth, high-quality releases.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile apps using Appium with Java
• Ensure automated test suites run consistently and report issues proactively
• Share expertise and mentor QA team members in testing best practices and TDD
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors (onshore & offshore) on automation tools, environments, and frameworks
• Support end-to-end testing across multiple applications and release cycles
• Partner with distributed teams on QA tooling strategy and roadmap decisions
• Coordinate with Product Owners and Scrum teams on test planning and progress reporting

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• 4+ years developing and executing automated test scripts
• 2+ years experience with mobile application development
• Strong Java or other OOP programming experience
• Experience with XCUITest, Espresso, Kotlin, or Swift (preferred)
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, MTM)
• Comfortable working across distributed teams and multiple concurrent releases
• Strong understanding of iOS and/or Android ecosystems
• Knowledge of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in financial/trading systems is a plus
