Job summary

Dexian seeks an experienced QA/Automation Engineer in Roanoke, VA to lead testing efforts across RESTful services, CI/CD pipelines, and SDET initiatives. You will implement automated test strategies using Java or Python and work closely with development teams to ensure software quality throughout the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation, strong scripting skills, and collaboration with engineers to improve test coverage, reliability, and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software testing or quality engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Deep expertise in functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience in SDET roles.
• 4+ years working with Java or Python.
• 5+ years automation scripting (excluding record/playback).
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps principles.
• Experience validating RESTful web services (Rest Assured or Karate).
• Proficiency with Jenkins and PL/SQL.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in software development in test (SDET) roles.
• At least 4 years working with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
• At least 5 years of automation scripting experience (excluding record and playback).
• Good understanding of behavior-driven development, continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps principles.
• Expertise in validating RESTful web services (e.g., Rest Assured or Karate).
• Proficiency with tools like Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines) and PL/SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of Docker and service virtualization.
• Understanding of non-functional testing.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM applications is a plus.
