Job summary

Dexian seeks a Software Engineer in Test in Westlake, TX (Hybrid) for a long-term contract. You will lead test automation development with Java across distributed applications and modern CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, hands-on with Selenium/Cucumber, RestAssured, and testing frameworks such as JUnit/TestNG, plus strong SQL/XML/HTML/JavaScript/Java/Python skills and Agile/Kanban experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in test automation development with Java or similar languages.
• Experience testing distributed applications across multiple layers of a technology stack.
• Proficiency with REST, Web Services, SOAP, Git, Jenkins.
• Strong technical skills with SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, RestAssured.
• Develop and maintain testing frameworks like Junit, TestRunner, TestNG.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, ClearCase).
• Experience with cloud technologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Functional and regression testing in an agile environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and autonomous working skills.

• Extensive experience testing distributed applications across multiple layers of a technology stack.
• Proficiency with REST, Web Services, SOAP, Git, Jenkins.
• Strong technical skills, including SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, RestAssured.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain testing frameworks like Junit, TestRunner, TestNG.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, ClearCase).
• Experience working with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with functional and regression testing in an agile environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including risk identification and contingency planning.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and within team settings, including Agile Sprints and Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with internal governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience working in complex system integration and testing environments.
• Prior experience working in a quality engineering or software testing capacity within a financial or similar regulated industry.
