Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Remote Contract role - EST - $50 per hour

We’re looking for a skilled and self-driven SDET to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in automation frameworks and is confident working independently to deliver high-impact solutions. This role focuses on building reliable automated test pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional development teams, and ensuring the performance and reliability of enterprise applications.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Own testing initiatives from planning through execution with minimal oversight.
• Work alongside developers and external partners to align on testing strategy and coverage.
• Utilize tools like JMeter for performance testing and Azure DevOps Pipelines for automation workflows.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in automated software testing.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Selenium, and SQL.
• Experience with test automation in CI/CD environments (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines) – a plus.
• Familiarity with JMeter and coordination with third-party dev teams – a bonus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must-have.
