Job summary

Capgemini in Burlington, MA is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer / SDET to join our team. The role emphasizes API testing, automation, and robust software quality across microservices and distributed systems.

You will contribute to test strategy, design and execute automated tests, and collaborate in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in testing, strong Java skills, and hands-on working knowledge of REST API tools, Selenium WebDriver, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation with a strong focus on API Testing.
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing using REST Assured, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools.
• Strong programming skills in Java and experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in SQL and backend/database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, API Design, and Distributed Systems.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
