Job summary

Fidelity Information Services, LLC (FIS) is seeking a Software Engineer II (Backend-Microservices Architecture, Cloud/AWS) in Jacksonville, FL. You will develop basic to moderately complex back-end code and collaborate with business/tech teams on client software solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience with Java, Python, .NET, JavaScript, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies; PCI security compliance is part of the scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent with five years’ progressive experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data with IBM Rational Tools.
• Experience with front/end languages/technologies including Java, Python, .NET, and JavaScript; APIs and external services; relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with databases Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, DB2, Hadoop; back-end tech Java, Python, .NET, Ruby; mobile, and front-end tech HTML/JS/jQuery; development tools Eclipse, VS, Webpack, Babel, Gulp; mobile iOS/Android.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze code with a focus on back-end/microservices architecture and cloud/AWS.
• Create and deliver routine specifications for code development and support on projects.
• Test, validate, and correct code; ensure PCI security compliance where applicable.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams on internal/external client software solutions.

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer IIs (Backend-Microservices Architecture, Cloud/AWS) in Jacksonville, FL to develop basic to moderately complex code using a front or back-end programming language within a platform as needed in collaboration with business and technology teams for internal and external client software solutions. Create and deliver routine program specifications for code development and support on a project/issue with a moderate understanding of the application / database to better align interactions and technologies. Analyze, modify, and develop basic to moderately complex code / unit testing to develop application documentation. Perform testing and validation requirements for basic to moderate complex code changes. Perform corrective measures for basic to moderately complex code deficiencies and elevate alternative proposals. Apply a moderate understanding of procedures, methodology and application standards to include Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: coding, designing, developing and analyzing data with IBM Rational Tools; working with front/back-end languages/technologies including Java, Python, .NET, and JavaScript; analyzing corresponding end language/technology from modern programming languages used in the enterprise utilizing APIs, external Services, and with both relational and NoSQL Databases; designing with Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) using databases including Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, IMS, DB2, and Hadoop; working with Back-end technologies including Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Mainframe COBOL, and Mainframe Assembler; working with Front-end technologies including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CICS; working with Web Frameworks/technologies including Node.js, React.js, Angular, and Redux; utilizing Development Tools including Eclipse, Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, and Gulp; and implementing Mobile Development with iOS and Android. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
