Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop advanced speech recognition, speech synthesis, natural language processing, and biometrics applications primarily in C++ and Golang. The role requires strong Linux development skills, the ability to work independently, and experience working on large, cloud-native, real‑time audio systems.
Responsibilities
- Secure Linux and Docker container development.
- Lead development efforts and work effectively with a small team.
- Full lifecycle ownership: requirements gathering, system design, implementation, and deployment.
- Ensure documentation standards for change control processes.
- Work with mixed C/C++ and Golang tasks, migrating from C++ to Golang where appropriate.
- Design, implement and optimize real‑time audio processing pipelines with ASR and TTS integration.
- Troubleshoot networking issues, including RTP/SIP audio transport in production.
- Interface with customer support and QA teams to drive feature identification and bug resolution.
- Maintain and improve performance, stability, and efficiency of the multithreaded and multi‑process suite.
- Design and architect new components, services, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Contribute to long‑term technical roadmap and strategic planning.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience, with at least 2 years on speech or real‑time audio systems.
- Deep proficiency in C/C++ and Golang in production environments.
- Hands‑on experience with ASR engines or TTS pipelines.
- Highly optimized multithreaded multicore coding skills.
- Understanding of DevOps, build automation, and testing.
- Familiarity with Git version control, branching, pull requests, and merging.
- Experience in at least one major cloud environment (e.g., AWS).
- Knowledge of advanced software algorithms.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex interrelated systems.
- Comfortable working across multiple programming languages and technologies.
- Experience with Secure Software Development Lifecycle practices.
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed designs and implementation plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Container experience with Kubernetes.
- Direct experience with networking, RTP, SIP/VOIP protocol implementation or debugging in production audio pipelines.
- Familiarity with DSP concepts: sample rates, codecs, voice activity detection, noise suppression.
- Python experience.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgres, Confluence, Jira.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for the Software Engineer III role is between $115,000 and $158,000; actual salary will be commensurate with a candidate’s experience, skill and location.
