Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Software Engineer III for our Sunnyvale, CA office to design, develop, and deliver scalable software alongside cross-functional teams. You will troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analyses, and ensure high-quality code via testing and CI/CD practices.

Mentoring small engineering groups and guiding offshore associates are part of the role. The BuyBox team focuses on microservices, ML-enabled offer ranking, and reliable system interactions within Walmart’s ecommerce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related field; 2 years’ software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, project, business, and UX teams to draft high-level designs for small to medium projects.
• Analyze and troubleshoot production and business issues, performing root cause analysis and delivering solutions.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions, write and test code, and ensure timely delivery of components.
• Guide and support small engineering teams, including offshore associates, to meet goals.
• Develop and maintain documentation, test cases, and automation scripts for CI/CD.
• Monitor app performance, perform maintenance, and drive improvements for scalability and reliability.
