Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Palo Alto is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, test, and operate secure, scalable services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud platforms.

You will improve CI/CD, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure operational reliability while applying AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• At least three years of applied experience.
• Hands-on skills in Java, Spring Boot, API design, cloud technologies, Docker, Kafka, SQL, scripting.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, operational stability, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
