Job summary

GHX is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Developer Platform & AI Enablement team. You will work on an embedded role inside a product engineering repository, delivering reusable tooling, MCP servers, and agent platform enhancements for other engineers across the organization.

You will interact with users to define requirements in an Agile/Scrum setting, mentor peers, and contribute to AI-powered development tooling, while staying current on Snowflake, Python, and AWS trends.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science.
3–5 years of software development experience.
Experience building internal tooling used by engineers.
Daily use of agentic coding tools — Claude Code (preferred), Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
Direct experience authoring GitHub Actions or reusable CI/workflows.
Direct experience authoring Infrastructure as code.
Technical writing that engineers act on — designs, ADRs, runbooks, or docs.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, program, debug, test, document, release and support platform capabilities end to end.
Authors technical designs and architectural artifacts; review peers' designs.
Develop, version, and document reusable GitHub Actions and composite actions.
Develop, version, and document reusable IaC modules.
Build and operate MCP servers with transport, authentication and schema design.
Extend the agent platform, including the SDK and APIs used by GHX teams.
Read and safely modify unfamiliar codebases (e.g., Java and Maven) without owning the app.
