Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Software Engineer III for a 12-month contract in Wilmington, DE. You will design, develop, and support enterprise applications and cloud-native solutions across a complex technology environment.

You will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring teammates and translating business needs into secure, scalable solutions while guiding development efforts and ensuring performance and security in Azure-based environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SE2.
• Extensive experience with Azure and C# development.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions using .NET, C#, Angular/React, SQL Server, and Azure.
• Lead complex systems analysis, solution design, development, testing, debugging, production support, and modernization initiatives while ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and performance.
• Build and enhance Azure solutions using App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Azure SQL, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines, while implementing automated testing and observability throughout the SDLC.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture and design discussions, code reviews, root cause analysis, project planning, vendor evaluations, mentoring, and coordination of development activities.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SE2.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in systems analysis/application development.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in presenting to the target audience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in coordinating between Applications and business units.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in recommending and implementing system solutions.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in driving project milestones and delivery dates.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Azure.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in C#.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Angular.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in AI-enabled application development.

• Active Microsoft Azure certification above Fundamentals level (Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent).
• Financial services experience, cloud modernization.
