Job summary

Seegrid is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Pittsburgh team. You will design and implement features in C++ for warehouse automation software and ROS-based control systems, working closely with product management, customers, and fellow engineers.

You will participate in code reviews, demonstrate problem-solving and technical innovation, and help troubleshoot issues that arise at customer sites to continuously improve our products.

Qualifications

The Role

As a Software Engineer III at Seegrid, you will work in a tightly knit development team to create the next generation of warehouse automation robot applications and control systems. You'll work with product management, customer facing teams and other engineers to conceive, design, and implement new products and features that support the exciting possibilities when robots, human, and the unconstrained real world interact.

Responsibilities

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of experience with designing and implementing features using C++
• Strong knowledge of C++
• Ability to write testable and maintainable code
• Experience working with Linux
• Experience with ROS 2
• Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs under delivery pressure
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product and other engineering teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions clearly

Desired Experience

• Experience with Python
• Familiarity with mobile robots operating in manufacturing or warehouse facilities
