Job summary

Seegrid seeks a Quality Technician to execute quality control procedures, document results, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands attention to detail, ability to interpret drawings, and hands-on testing of products and sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities include inspections, measurements, and contributing to lean manufacturing projects. This is a 100% on-site position at Seegrid HQ with potential overtime based on shipping needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associate Degree or technical school degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or Electronics discipline.
  • Two years minimum experience in Electro-Mechanical product testing using software interface, robotics technology, industrial automation, or engineering technician.
  • Basic quality control knowledge and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well in both individual and team environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control product inspections, testing, and documentation to meet technical, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform supplier component inspections, first article, incoming QC, non-conforming material inspections, calibrations, using test equipment and maintaining records.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical design drawings and specifications.
  • Create ECN/OPS/QCD cases with photos, log files, and detailed measurements.
  • Troubleshoot products and equipment against procedures.

About The Role

The Quality Technician must execute all Quality Control Standard operating procedures, work instructions, and accurately document the results to ensure our products & sub-assemblies satisfy all safety, performance, reliability and specific customer requirements. The Quality Technician will be responsible to participate in continuous improvement, auditing, and lean manufacturing projects to improve efficiency, quality, and on time delivery. A high attention to detail, with the ability to perform mechanical and electrical measurement methods & techniques is required.

Responsibilities Include
  • Perform quality control product inspections, performance, and safety testing on Seegrid products which adequately cover technical, customer, and regulatory requirements. This includes accurately documenting the results.
  • Perform supplier component inspections, first article, incoming QC, non-conforming material inspections, calibrations, using test and measurement equipment while maintaining records
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical design drawings and specifications
  • Create ECN/OPS/QCD cases which accurately describe/document a nonconformance finding with photos, log files, detailed measurements, etc.
  • Accurately troubleshoot products and equipment against procedures
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum Associate Degree or technical school degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or Electronics discipline.
  • Two years minimum experience in Electro-Mechanical product testing using software interface, robotics technology, industrial automation, or engineering technician
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel, Google workspace, ERP systems
  • Basic quality control knowledge, lean manufacturing concepts and application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in both individual and team environments
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in noisy and busy environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • 100% on-site position at Seegrid HQ location
  • Occasional overtime and/or weekend work (Saturday) may be required depending on shipping requirements
Desired Qualifications
  • Linux operating system command line experience is a strong plus
  • Understanding of verification and validation (V&V) methodology (procedures and test reports) is a plus
  • IPC Certification and/or standards knowledge is a strong plus (PCBA & Wireharness)
