What You’ll Do
  • Lead the development of complex software components and features.
  • Work with clients and stakeholders to define software solution strategy and architecture.
  • Manage assigned tasks and contribute to defining scope, technical approach, and delivery plans.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and security through reviews, testing, and optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate software into enterprise systems.
  • Support the evolution of development practices and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of education, 9 years of relevant experience.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms, and container orchestration.
  • Advanced proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor others.
What We Prefer
  • Experience designing solutions using AWS and MS Azure.
  • Building APIs that allow backend communication with front end and third‑party services.
  • Optimizing server and database architecture for performance and scalability.
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript/Node.js, and relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience developing and maintaining public‑facing SaaS applications.
  • Experience integrating third‑party services and APIs.
  • Implementation of secure application design practices, including PII data protection, role‑based access control, and identity management.
  • Familiarity with public‑sector compliance frameworks (NIST, SOC, ISO).
  • Knowledge of SSO integrations such as SAML and Entra ID.
  • Strong experience building and supporting cloud‑native applications on AWS.
  • Proficiency in AWS services: EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, and associated security groups.
  • Deep understanding of the AWS Shared Responsibility Model and secure cloud design.
  • Experience in authentication, authorization, encryption, and logging with tools like KMS, TLS, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and Security Hub.
  • Understanding of OAuth, OpenID, and other security frameworks.

Illinois: $105,590.66 - $165,154.61
Nationwide: $95,991.51 - $187,675.71
