Job summary

SeekWell, the parent company of 1-800 Contacts, Luna, and The Framery, is hiring a Software Engineer II. You will build backend services (REST and SOAP) and internal applications, collaborating with Product Management to deliver value.

The role offers a hybrid setup with 1–2 days onsite in Draper, UT, and occasional on-call support for 24/7 systems. You’ll work in a Kanban environment, participate in code reviews, and advance cloud architecture and software craftsmanship while taking ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience using C#, SQL, and modern practices.
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications (AWS preferred).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain platform services and internal applications using C#, SQL, AWS, WinForms, and Angular.
• Create and maintain code that integrates with third-party services.
• Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and pull requests.
• Support and contribute to CI/CD pipeline processes.
• Complete projects independently or in pairs while collaborating with the team.
• Implement automated tests and frameworks for testing at multiple layers (UI, API).
• Build and test REST APIs and microservices using advanced tools and methodologies.

As a Software Engineer II at SeekWell , you'll help build the systems that power critical business operations and customer experiences . These include primarily backend services (REST and SOAP) as well as internal applications used across the organization . You'll work alongside experienced engineers and Product Management to design solutions, write quality code, build automated tests, and deliver measurable business value . Working within our Kanban workflow in Jira, you'll have opportunities to expand your cloud, architecture, and software craftsmanship skills while taking ownership of features from design through production

What You'll Do

• Implement automated tests, including developing frameworks and tools for efficient testing at different layers like Playwright for Web UI and API automation
• Build and perform complex testing of REST APIs and microservices using advanced tools and methodologies

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceor a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 2-4 years of professional software development experience using C#, SQL, and modern development practices
• Experience developing and supporting applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Ability to efficiently tackle problems at any stage of the software lifecycle
• Experience effectively leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies to improve productivity, code quality, learning, and problem-solving.
• Growth mindset demonstrated through continuous learning, embracing challenges, and developing new technical skills
• Able to deliver well-defined projects and tasks with appropriate guidance and support
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative technology team environment
• Demonstrates initiative in identifying improvements and contributing ideas to enhance systems and processes
• Comfortable troubleshooting application and production issues with support from teammates when needed
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a respectful and collaborative environment.
