Job summary
Collins Aerospace in Puerto Rico is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Resilient Connectivity Products team on an on-site basis in Aguadilla. You will contribute to mission-critical software for complex systems and work with cross-functional teams to meet certification standards.
You will gain experience with system requirements to software, UML/SysML models, embedded development, and modern toolchains while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable software for the DoD program.
Qualifications
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or advanced related degree.
- Proven ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
- Experience with Embedded Development using object-oriented design.
- Experience with Jira, Subversion/Git/Version Management.
- Direct involvement in Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software team to translate System Requirements into Software Requirements and UML/SysML models.
- Provide direct support to stakeholders, troubleshoot issues, and ensure project progress and satisfaction.
- Partner across domains to maintain software design and code aligned with requirements and certification standards.
- Produce high-quality software builds within an integrated test environment with thorough testing.
