Job summary

Modular Mining Systems, a global leader in mine management technology and subsidiary of Komatsu, seeks a Software Engineer II to design, build, and operate mission-critical services powering automation products.

You will work with product, hardware, and operations teams, mentor others, and drive scalable architecture and operational excellence for mine sites worldwide. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex software systems to customers.
• Experience with REST APIs and full Software Development Life Cycle including CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate mission-critical software services powering Komatsu's automation products.
• Lead the definition and delivery of small features across distributed autonomous services (machine coordination, equipment management, navigation planning, collision detection, safeguarding).
• Mentor junior engineers and drive scalable architecture, quality, and operational excellence for mine sites worldwide.
