Job summary

URBN is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Core Services team. We are looking for an engineer with 2-5 years of experience to help build and maintain our Kafka-based event streaming platform and support the migration of legacy enterprise systems into modern, cloud-native services.

You will work closely with senior and staff engineers, product managers, and platform engineers to deliver reliable, well-tested integration services, while growing your skills in distributed systems and

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python; built services or APIs.
• Familiar with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kafka-based event streaming services.
• Support migration off legacy platforms to cloud-native services.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Platform Engineers on feature work.
• Contribute to documentation and Kafka design patterns.
