Job summary

ALSAC is seeking a software engineer to join our enterprise applications team in Memphis. Under limited supervision, you will analyze, develop, implement, and support multi‑layered applications, design libraries, and integrate services to deliver scalable business solutions.

You will participate in architecture discussions, modernize platforms, and contribute to automated engineering practices, ensuring maintainable documentation and collaborative delivery with analysts and users.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current application development techniques and OO design.
• Experience building multi-layer software across frontend, backend, DB, and data layers.
• Experience in cross-functional teams and defined processes.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and requirements gathering across SDLC under limited supervision.
• Designs, develops, tests, and implements small to medium changes.
• Modifies applications requiring redesigns and problem solving.
• Collaborates with analysts and stakeholders to plan future needs.
• Interacts with users to understand usage and improvement opportunities.
• Builds and enhances application systems using established principles.
• Participates in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Supports integrations, APIs, and enterprise services for data exchange.
