Job summary

New Mexico Mutual is seeking a Software Developer II in Albuquerque to design, develop, test, and maintain moderately complex software applications and system integrations within the IT department.

You will work on Guidewire solutions, enterprise integrations, and internal apps, collaborating with analysts, vendors, and teammates to deliver scalable, reliable technology solutions and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Six+ years of related experience in software development (insurance preferred).
• Experience with Guidewire is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support Guidewire and other internal software solutions.
• Lead or contribute to application design discussions and performance considerations.
• Collaborate with analysts, vendors, and IT teammates to translate requirements.
• Document design decisions, code changes, and deployment procedures.
• Participate in testing, release management, and post-implementation support.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
