Job summary

Amazon's AWS Invoicing, Global Tax and Compliance team is seeking software development engineers who own their work and love building scalable, multi-tenant platforms at Amazon scale. You will design distributed services and data models to transform the billing and tax infrastructure for global customers and complex regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Transform a critical billing, invoicing, tax infrastructure into a scalable, multi-tenant platform.
• Lead architecture decisions and drive engineering execution.
• Partner with product, tax compliance and platform teams to deliver capabilities for global customers and expansion.
• Build scalable distributed systems and clear data models for platform evolution.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar.
• Ensure high availability and low latency with strong on-call readiness.
