Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Dallas, TX is seeking a Software Engineer II Full Stack Developer to join the EOIS team. You will develop, test and maintain data collection, processing, storage and viewing tools supporting infrared sensor and system development, with exposure to cutting-edge languages and frameworks.

  • Requires a B.S. in CS/CE/Software Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of full stack web development experience.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with at least one of: TypeScript, Python, Go, GRPC, Microservices.
  • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases and Git.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software engineering technologies and work with minimal supervision.

Job Summary

As a software engineer you will be working within a team that develops, tests and maintains a suite of data collection, processing, storage and viewing tools supporting the development and testing of infrared sensors and systems. You will have exposure to cutting edge languages and frameworks within a business leading the innovation in the infrared space

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for software engineering tasks including requirements/user story definition, software application and library design, implementation, integration, verification, validation and maintenance.
  • Responsible for adhering to the DRS engineering processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of experience in full stack web development/software engineering
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with at least one of the following languages/frameworks:
  • TypeScript
  • Python
  • Go
  • GRPC
  • Microservices
  • Experience with databases including relational and/or non-relational databases
  • Experience with source control systems such as git
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new software engineering technologies and methodologies
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and within the framework of a multi-discipline team

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
