Job summary

Morning Consult is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and own the platform infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling that enable fast AI-powered product development. You’ll collaborate with product and data engineers, influence architecture decisions, and drive end-to-end projects from scoping to rollout.

Looking for 2–4 years in DevOps, strong AWS skills, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD experience. Remote-friendly with offices in DC, Chicago, and NYC; equity grant opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience with core services (EC2, EKS/ECS, S3, IAM, networking).
• 2-4 years of DevOps engineering experience in a small or mid-size company.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• A track record of owning projects end to end and explaining technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers outside infrastructure.
• Curiosity about AI and experience using AI tools to speed up infrastructure, debugging or automation work.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes experience

THE ROLE:

Our engineering teams are building the next generation of AI-powered products. In this role, you’ll build the platform our engineers stand on: the infrastructure, pipelines and tooling that let them ship AI-powered products quickly and safely. You’ll work side by side with product and data engineers, have a real voice in architecture decisions, and own meaningful projects from scoping through rollout.

ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU'VE DONE:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines

• Curiosity about AI and experience using AI tools to speed up infrastructure, debugging or automation work

The expected salary range for this position is $93,300 – $150,100, with a midpoint of $121,700. In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
