Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and support customer order management and supply chain applications. You will translate business needs into scalable, enterprise-grade software using Java/Spring Boot on the backend and React/Angular on the frontend, with CI/CD and cloud deployments.

The role requires 3+ years of development experience, strong SQL and microservices skills, and familiarity with Agile tools. Hybrid work model in the Atlanta area available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years software development and implementation experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
• Hands-on CI/CD, preferably Jenkins.
• Backend development in Java (Spring Boot) with modern Java features.
• Frontend experience with React or Angular and strong TypeScript skills.
• Container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Cloud deployment experience (Azure or GCP).
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• SQL proficiency including indexing and optimization.
• Strong microservices and distributed systems experience.
• Shell scripting and Linux command proficiency.
• Strong unit testing and SDLC understanding.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Own full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into enterprise solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend Java services and microservices.
• Build and maintain frontend components using React/Angular.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
• Work with databases and optimize SQL queries for performance.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to agile processes.
• Integrate AI-assisted development practices where applicable.
