Our mission: to eliminate every barrier to mental health.

At Spring Health, we’re on a mission to revolutionize mental healthcare by removing every barrier that prevents people from getting the help they need, when they need it. Our clinically validated technology,Precision Mental Healthcare , empowers us to deliver the right care at the right time—whether it’s therapy, coaching, medication, or beyond—tailored to each individual’s needs.

We proudly partner with over 450 companies, from startups to multinational Fortune 500 corporations, as a leading provider of mental health service, providing care for 10 million people. Our clients include brands you use and know like Microsoft, Target, and Delta Airlines, all of whom trust us to deliver best-in-class outcomes for their employees globally. With our innovative platform, we’ve been able to generate a net positive ROI for employers and we are the only company in our category to earn external validation of net savings for customers.

We have raised capital from prominent investors including Generation Investment, Kinnevik, Tiger Global, Northzone, RRE Ventures, and many more. Thanks to their partnership and our latest Series E Funding, our current valuation has reached $3.3 billion. We’re just getting started—join us on our journey to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Please note that this is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with an expectation to be in office 2-3 days a week. Our office is located at 2 Embarcadero Ctr.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be in a high-visibility, high-impact role as a Software Engineer over a new initiative. You’ll be a key technical contributor involved in driving the delivery as a part of a 0-1 team. You will be a champion of technical initiatives and work closely with our product leadership to prioritize and execute on deliverables.

This is an opportunity to be the foundational member of an agile team for an innovative early stage product. You will be a part of a collaborative team identifying the opportunities and helping create the products that transform mental healthcare for the better.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Drive a 0-1 high-impact product initiative, playing a swiss army knife on engineering as a key technical contributor, especially on our AI initiatives
  • Work with a cross-functional SWAT team of product managers, designers, data scientists, and marketers to rapidly innovate and execute against company priorities
  • Partner with the GM, EM, PM, Pradip and Marcus to set standards, technical vision, and software architecture
  • Take on complex requirements and distill them into a proposal of small deliverables on Clinical Products
  • Successfully manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Look for opportunities for process improvements and opportunities to exhibit leadership
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of our products, how customers use them, and how they fit into the larger business
  • Quickly pivot solutions based on feedback or complexity, effectively communicating reasons for the change and path forward to rest of your team
  • Manage risks, dependencies and tradeoffs inevitable in complex project delivery

What success looks like in this role:

Launch an innovative, high-impact mental health product within 3 quartersMaintain strong engineering practices (e.g. minimizing code churn, cycle time, etc…)Develop architectures that allow for integrations and scalable growthRaise the bar for engineering excellence and delivery

What We Expect From You:

We’re looking for a technical Software Engineer who cares about impact, ownership, cross-functional projects, and mentorship. This hire will work with a fast-paced, agile engineering team, building 0-1 products that will shape the future of Spring. Experience working with healthcare infrastructure, in AI/ML, and having worked in an early-stage startup environment is a big plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience as an engineer or technologist, with a proven track record of delivering successful products in or adjacent to the healthcare industry
  • Deep understanding of modern SaaS platforms and their architecture
  • Address cross-team challenges related to customers, quality and security
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to explain your approach and the impact of your work to non-technical stakeholders
  • An ability to navigate ambiguity, with a bias towards rapid execution over process
  • Experience working in an early stage startup environment. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with a high-growth, dynamic, 0-1 environment
  • Experience with AI/ML tools
  • Preferred experience in mental health technology; required experience in healthcare technology
  • Ability to identify and prevent decisions that are not "two-way door decisions"

The target base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $165,275, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
