Job summary

WorkTango is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy features as part of a collaborative engineering team. You'll work with Node, React, Express, Postgres, GraphQL and other modern technologies to deliver scalable web applications.

The role emphasizes engineering best practices, testing, and close collaboration with architecture to influence platform direction and support customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of application development experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with TypeScript on Node and modern web stacks.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and ORMs.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP/AWS) and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and testing.
• Understanding of scalable frontend/backend architectures.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable web applications as part of a team.
• Assist in defining and championing engineering best practices.
• Write maintainable, extensible, low-latency, and high-availability code.
• Integrate data management and storage solutions.
• Integrate user-facing elements and implement application logic.
• Write reliable unit tests and smoke tests.
• Review others’ code.
• Influence product direction with technical expertise.
• Support customers by understanding needs and improving the platform.
• Collaborate with Architecture to shape Platform Architecture.
