Job summary

Network Technologies International, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to help shape and execute the software strategy for our next-generation systems.

This mid-level role designs, builds, and supports high-impact software across internal and external applications in a fast-paced environment. You will lead components from conception through deployment, guide technical decisions, and mentor teammates while delivering secure, scalable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, Python)
• Solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; able to design scalable solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality software systems
• Collaborate with teammates to scope features, prioritize work, test functionality, and monitor production systems
• Take ownership of features from planning through deployment and operations
• Write clean, testable code; participate in peer code reviews
• Debug and resolve issues related to bugs, performance, and reliability
• Build internal tools and automation to improve efficiency and consistency
• Share knowledge and contribute to technical discussions and documentation
• Stay current with new technologies and best practices; promote learning
