Job summary

Axon is hiring an engineer to help shape our next-generation platform for public safety data. You will participate in code reviews, own end-to-end features with Product and Design, and ensure high-quality, scalable software.

Based in the United States with a hybrid schedule, the role is based in Sterling, VA or Seattle, WA, with onsite Tue–Fri and remote Mondays. We value collaboration, mentorship, and diversity of perspectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent)
• High-availability, high-throughput web-scale data systems experience
• Backend experience in Java/Scala/Go/C#/similar
• Decision-making under requirements, constraints and trade-offs
• Follow latest software engineering practices and open source tech
• SQL or NoSQL data stores experience is a plus
• Good Linux/Unix/Mac experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in code reviews and architecture design meetings
• Own and drive end-to-end features with Product and Design
• Ensure code quality and performance standards
• Partner with internal teams and agencies to make public safety data accessible
• Influence peers, advise senior leaders, mentor junior engineers
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration among Dedrone engineers
