Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Software Engineer II to independently develop and help design high-quality software products for customers and associates. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years software development or engineering experience.
• Experience Python and at least one OOP language (Java preferred).
• Experience developing or supporting AI/ML solutions including ML models or AI-powered services.
• Experience with AI development frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries; familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with source control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS/TS).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and modern debugging/monitoring techniques.
• Exposure to MLOps, model evaluation, prompt engineering, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to deliver secure, reliable, scalable software solutions.
• Document and ensure quality/change-control standards are met.
• Create dashboards, logging, and monitoring alerts; automate infrastructure and tests.
• Contribute to agile processes and team learning.
• Support production systems with resiliency and performance tuning.
